Assist with treatment for Adam

Never thought we’d be making something like this. On Friday the 13th of December 2024, our lives were thrown into chaos.

Adam was diagnosed with Colo-rectal Cancer. We have now since found out from all his tests, that he has stage 4 cancer.

Adam has a large tumor within his colon, small tumors in the surrounding lymph nodes and another small tumor in his liver.

Adams original plan was to keep working and training throughout treatment as much as possible, however the doctors have told him this likely won’t be possible.

The treatment plan will be aggressive. As Adam is young and fit with stage 4, they will attack the cancers in the most aggressive way they can.

Adam will be having a port-a-cath installed in the next two weeks. Once installed he will start chemo.

chemo will be 3 days every 2 weeks, for 3 months. The doctors have told him he will need to take the first month off work at least then see how he feels after that.

The next stage will be radiotherapy with oral chemo. This will go for 5 weeks and be done every single day.

this will not only hopefully kill off the tumors but will also destroy his fertility.

Following this Adam will likely require surgery to remove any remaining tumors and have a stoma bag installed.

this is the 12 month plan they’ve given us.

they have also stated that Adam will not be able to train jiujitsu, aerials or anything intense, possibly ever again.

with all of this information, we feel pretty deflated.

We are a very active family. This is tough news to swallow.

As such, with Adam not working through treatment, we need to ask for help.

If you know us personally, this is a hard thing for us to do. Sometimes you just have to swallow Your pride and ask for help! We really appreciate all the donations we’ve already received. We’ve had many tears flow because we didn’t know how many people out there were behind us!

Adam is young, fit, active and healthy in so many ways. One small symptom changed everything!
