In Loving Memory of Lieutenant Thomas S. J. Koch

On October 24, 2025, our hearts were shattered as we said goodbye to Thomas Stephen Joseph Koch, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend.

Tom was born in Endwell, New York, the youngest of nine children. After earning his criminal justice degree from Buffalo State University, he began a lifelong career of service and integrity. He later moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he met the love of his life, Deani, and together they built a beautiful family rooted in love and faith.

For 16 years, Tom served with the Richardson Police Department in Texas, where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant. He was known for his quick wit, his signature one-liners, and a smile that could light up any room. Despite working long nights, Tom never missed a chance to take his four children to school, cheer them on, or support their every dream.

Tom was a devoted husband, a dedicated father, and a true hero to all who knew him.

As his family faces this unimaginable loss, we’re asking for support to help cover expenses and provide stability for Deani and their children in the months ahead.

Our goal is to raise funds to help the Koch family during this difficult time with medical and any extended expenses. All funds will be given to his wife, Deani (who is my sister) to use for funeral and medical expenses.
