The past couple of years, I have been experiencing massive chest pains due to bicuspid aortic stenosis. This is a challenge I have faced since being birthed. Back in February, it got the best of me. I had to be hospitalized due to complications with my chest. They did a CT scan, a stress test,
a catheter, and all results pointed to a
valve not functioning properly. I submitted a LOA through my job, unfortunately, short term disability is not an option. This leaves me with medical bills and no source of income, until I get in the clear (which is about 4-5 weeks after surgery). I will be undergoing open heart surgery this upcoming week, where they will; cut open
my sternum, remove one of my heart valves, and replace it with a mechanical valve. As you can imagine, all of this is very scary and a major financial setback. I'm simply asking people to help me where they can. I've always been a hard
worker and I strive to make ends meet on my own, but times have gotten the best of me. I appreciate any help I can get.
