Assist with Steve's Funeral Costs and Bills

Hello,

I am Savela, Steve's sister. Steve passed away suddenly this week with heart failure. Unfortunately, the hospital could not save him and God took Steve to be with him where he will no longer suffer with any pain. Because this happened unexpectedly, he nor the family were prepared for funeral expenses. We have set up this account in order to ask for assistance for Steve's funeral expenses and continue to pay his bills.. As his sister, I am dealing with the entire family right now. Father 93 has dementia and in a nursing home at GA War for Veterans and am his legal guardian. Mom 92 lives with me full time, on oxygen and I take care of her 24/7 in Atlanta. And now my precious brother, Steve, who needed my help during the recent storm in Augusta...I drove from Atlanta with our elderly Mother to take care of Steve for a week getting him stronger by preparing meals, getting his meds, and taking him to the emergency room numerous times with very little fuel left in the car due to the storm. I did all I could to save Steve but his heart pain was unbearable he said numerous times.

Steve was a wonderful soul. Very kind and a huge heart helping others. Generous person. Helped many people. He always thought of others and would help anyone in need placing their needs first over his own. Mom said his hands were always “Hands of Gold.” He could fix anything. And, of course, his heart was his most precious gift. Very generous. Always giving to others before his own needs even if it was his last dollar. It was ultimately his heart that took his life…probably because he gave it to so many and it was simply tired.

We thank God for His unique gift of Steve and his life that touched so many with his love and generosity. He will be missed by all his family, friends, and any strangers he helped along the way. His greatest gift to others was giving his unselfish heart and help.
