On May 6, 2021 Steven, along with a co-worker, was in a horrific automobile accident on their way to work. Steven was taken to a hospital that is over an hour from Bakersfield and has undergone multiple surgeries while in ICU. The amount of prayers and support he received that day was, to say the least, overwhelming! The family is so grateful to everyone who made that drive from Bakersfield considering it is over an hour away. It was, and is, apparent that his love for his family “blood and non-blood related” is strong! To him, everyone he loves and who loves him IS family! Steven’s infectious laugh, quick wit, loving heart, and love for his “familia” continues to draw people to him like a magnet. The outpouring of his family and friends wanting, no demanding, to help any way they can is overwhelming and we are truly grateful! So, we decided to create a gofundme for this reason.

Stevens iPhone was broke in the accident and as we all know cell phones are very expensive.  We know his phone is his lifeline to his family and work. His mother is also staying close (within 3-4 miles of the hospital) and will not leave without him. Therefore, the family felt it would only be appropriate to, first, allocate any funds that is donated on this site to a new iPhone for Steven. If any funds are left over we will use the funds to assist with shelter and living expenses for family who is with him while he is in the hospital that is out of town.
