Hello people, I’m asking for your help for an emergency rental funding to pay for rent and avoid getting evicted and to renew my expired work permit so I can find a job to support myself and others. Not the one to ask for help like this but it is what it is, things happen.
To cut a long story short, I lost my job back in November and was hospitalized shortly after that at UCSF for 2 weeks. I was discharged in early December and soon realized that my work permit had expired (can’t work without a job permit).
So my plea with you is to help me pay for January and February rent and apply for a new work permit so I can go back to work.
I have been denied unemployment benefits for that said reason. And as an immigrant whose asylum case is still pending, there is not much government assistance that I’m qualified for.
I feel embarrassed asking for this public support but I have no other choice at this point. The goal is $2500 and any extra would be applied to February rent because I don’t see myself having a job by then as the work permit itself takes time to be processed. Any little help will go a long way.
Thank you and appreciate you all for the love, support, and encouragement since moving to this country 9 years ago. XoXo
