ASSIST WITH QUINN JAMES MEDICAL EXPENSES

Hi. My name is Danna and I am creating this page for a family that is need of our help. Prayers and love are the most important, but if you can help ease some of the financial burden this family will now endure, it would be very much appreciated. Quinn is one of my son's best friends and we've had the pleasure of watching him grow up at our house on weekends and holidays. He is a senior at Hononegah High School and had plans to go into the Navy after graduation. He is a ball of energy and shines a light wherever he is. Smiling and laughing is all I've ever seen from him, and of course playfully picking on our kids :D

The afternoon on Tuesday, August 31st seemed like a beautiful day, but within seconds, it became the darkest day this wonderful family has ever seen. Quinn, age 17, was enjoying this day riding in a car with a friend, until they were hit by a large box truck. Quinn was immediately rushed to the hospital with life-threating injuries.

The extent of his injuries are unimaginable. Every bone in his face is broken or crushed, including the roof of his mouth and jaw. He will require more surgeries than I can comprehend. Currently they are focusing on his base skull fracture, brain bleed, collapsed lung, kidney, liver, and spleen damage, as well as fluid in his abdomen. He is currently in a medically-induced coma hoping to allow his body time to rest enough to start recovery. The road ahead will be long and painful for not weeks, but months and possibly years.

Due to the severity of the injuries, he was flown to UW American Children's Hospital in Madison where he is currently fighting. He will hopefully have his first of many surgeries tomorrow if the all clear is given by his team of doctors.

As a mother, I literally cannot imagine going through this. The family will be by his side, but this requires time off work, added food/travel expenses, and medical bills that will accumulate for months. Any help would be appreciated for this family. Thank you!
