Hello! I'm Elizabeth, granddaughter of Michelle Mary Oubre. It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my grandmother, which took place on Wednesday, July 23. She battled aggressive lung cancer, which eventually traveled to her brain. She continued getting treatments for the cancer, then doctors noticed a large tumor on her brain. Earlier this month, she made a choice to have the tumor removed.

After her surgery, she struggled physically and emotionally. She was released from the hospital, then began hospice care. Days later (and at the time of her passing), she was at peace and surrounded by loving family inside her childhood home.

My grandmother was a pillar of strength and love for her entire family and several friends.
