On Tuesday, September 2nd, our family lost a beloved and cherished family member. Melody Pearl Kemper passed away at Munson Hospital.

On behalf of my brother, Kevin, I am asking for help in covering Melody's funeral and hospital costs. Kevin won't ask for help, but never has he needed it more. All donations will go directly to the funeral home, Kevin's travel costs, and remaining medical expenses.

Melody was my first big sister, and genuinely the kindest person I have ever known. She made over 5,000 memory bears for grieving families, providing love in a moment of darkness. This is just a small example of her brightness.

She was dedicated to 4H and spent hours teaching Eaton County youth to sew, cook/bake, decorate cakes, paint ceramics, creative writing, and countless other crafts. Melody loved the fair and has spent many weeks supporting Eaton, Ingham, and Cheboygan County fairs.

If you are able to give, or share our plea, it would help us all to say goodbye. We are truly grateful for every moment we had with Mel, and grateful for your help.

Visitation will be at Skinner Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept 7th from 2pm-4pm.

Services will be at Robbins UMC on Monday, Sept 8th, 11am, with interment and lunch to follow. An hour's visitation prior.
