Assist with Funeral Costs for Rebecca Ann Hendrickson

Update: On September 11, 2024, Rebecca Ann Hendrickson, almost one month to the day of her diagnosis, passed away at home. Funeral arrangements will be announced soon. In the meantime we are still accepting donations for the costs. This was all so quick. Thank you to everyone for your continued support and prayers.

On August 10th we decided to take my mother to the emergency room because she has been complaining of abdominal and back pain for a few weeks. After waiting in the ER they took her back for scans and test, which showed masses in her pancreas, liver and her lungs. They admitted her and preformed a liver biopsy. We went home on August 13th after the biopsy and all of her levels were looking good.

On the 20th of August we returned to the ER due to her increasing pain and jaundice was starting in her eyes. This visit they decided to admit her again and we got her diagnosis. She has been diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer that is very aggressive. 

If you are familiar with cancer treatment, in order to be considered for chemotherapy and radiation your bilirubin levels have to be around a 6 or lower. When we left on the 13th her levels were at a 2 which is great. However upon our return her levels were at a 12. The cancer is spreading very quickly in her liver. She will not be able to do chemotherapy despite what we had been hoping. Considering that her levels have went up so quickly in such a short period of time she could live for a couple weeks or a few months. It's all in Gods hands, we just want to make sure she's comfortable and happy with her loved ones while she's here. She is only 50. Her name is Rebecca Ann Hendrickson. My mother has always taken care of us and it is our wish to try to make the time we have left with her memorable and as stress-free as possible.
