On Thursday, March 20, we lost my mother, Maribel. She was a beautiful soul, a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She battled with cancer most of her life and always stood tall despite undergoing many chemotherapy sessions, surgeries, radiation, and hospitalizations. The long battle with cancer came to an end, and we lost a great soul; our mother, our best friend.

El dia Jueves 20 de Marzo, perdimos a mi madre, Maribel. Era una persona maravillosa, una madre, hermana y abuela amorosa. Luchó contra el cáncer la mayor parte de su vida y siempre se mantuvo firme a pesar de las numerosas sesiones de quimioterapia, cirugías, radioterapia y hospitalizaciones. La larga batalla contra el cáncer llegó a su fin y perdimos a una gran persona: nuestra madre, nuestra mejor amiga.
