Assist with Living Expenses in Recovery
Doação protegida
Hi everyone — I hope you’re having a good start to the week.
I’m writing this with a lot of humility and thought because asking for help like this isn’t easy. But the truth is, I need some support right now to get through the next month or two while I recover from a pretty serious medical situation.
About 10 days ago, I started running a high fever out of nowhere. I thought it was just a stomach bug or food poisoning and tried to push through it, but after four days of a 101–102.7 fever, I was told to get to the ER. I’m glad I listened. What I thought might be something minor turned out to be a heavily infected gallbladder — it had gone gangrenous and was starting to turn septic. In short, it was trying to kill me.
I had emergency surgery the next morning at Baylor Scott & White in Round Rock. The procedure went well considering the circumstances, but the condition of my gallbladder made things a lot more serious than anyone expected. I’m now home and in recovery, but the recovery is going to take some time and comes with its own complications — pain, fatigue, night sweats, and more that I won’t get too graphic about.
Because of the incision and where it’s located, I’m completely restricted from doing any of the physical work I normally do to make ends meet — including my main job and my side hustle delivering packages in the evenings. I can’t lift, I can’t climb ladders, and I’ve been told to avoid all physical strain for at least 6 to 10 weeks.
That’s where I could really use your help.
I’m asking for assistance to help cover basic living expenses — rent, bills, groceries, and medical costs — just until I’m able to get back on my feet. I still have some work I can do remotely (like wholesaling houses), but the cash flow I rely on from daily work is temporarily gone. My home is on the market too, and I’m hopeful something will come of that, but there hasn’t been much traction yet.
If you’re in a position to help in any way, I would be incredibly grateful. Every little bit helps more than you know. And if you have any questions or want to talk privately about what’s going on, feel free to reach out to me directly.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for any support you can give — whether it’s financial, sharing this link, or just sending a kind message. It all means the world right now.
