Assist with Lisa's End-of-Life Arrangements

On April 29th 2024, my sister, Lisa, at 24 years young, experienced a cardiac arrest, lasting anywhere between 13 to 18 minutes. Her brain was damaged in multiple areas. She went on to have a second cardiac arrest in June, and a seizure on July 4th. After 3 grueling months, 5 different facilities, countless hours/days/weeks of around the clock care and a cocktail of medications, she’s grown incredibly weak. She’s showing early symptoms of heart failure, and is completely dependent on a ventilator.

I received a call from the hospital on 8.4 at 1:58pm that she’s not doing well at all, and that I need to be with her as soon as possible. I’ve been here, by her side, since then. Her daytime and night nurses have said, with the way things are going, there’s little to no chance she will make it until morning.

I’m shocked and at a loss for words. She didn’t have a life insurance policy, and I’m the only immediate family member surviving that has been making decisions for her. I’m incredibly scared, and I don’t know how I’m going to afford arrangements for her. I want to do things how she would want. I want to take care of her. Please, if you’re able to help out in any way possible.. I’m on my own.

I can’t thank you all enough for the outpour of love and support. Makes me feel a little less alone in this. I appreciate any efforts made for her.
