Assist with Laighn's Unexpected Funeral Costs

Sweet boy, I have no words. Life isn’t fair and there is nothing that can take this hurt away. You truly were so full of life and love. You brought us all so much laughter and joy in the short 5 years we got with you. You are gonna be missed beyond measure. I believe when you got to where you were going, mamaw was there ready for all the love and hugs and that’s the little bit of peace I’m holding onto.

Our Nephew Laighn Delbert at the young age of 5 years old passed away unexpectedly on Thursday 8/15. Our sister Lissa had just made it home to her four sweet boys on 8/12 after being in the hospital for over a month. Lissa was diagnosed with lung cancer in June of this year. She had her first surgery the beginning of July to remove her upper lobe of her lung. After the surgery complications started to occur that are still occurring. While Lissa, Chris, and their kids have tried to navigate through this tragic loss of their baby boy they have multiple expenses being thrown at them. After speaking with the funeral home they will need to have 4,000 down in order to even start the process. While trying to plan arrangements, process the loss of her baby, and also be a mother to her boys Lissa had to be admitted back into the hospital at Bethesda on 8/18.

With the unexpected loss of our nephew I am asking for anyone and everyone to rally for my sister and her family. To help us put this beautiful boy to rest and allow this family to grieve without having to also stress. I know I’ve witnessed so much love during this time for our family and I can’t even begin to thank everyone. We truly do appreciate everyone for everything they have done and are doing. I have set our amount at 8,000 and this is not even the whole amount for the funeral and the cost for Laighn’s headstone. So please continue to share. We truly love and appreciate everyone and all the love we are watching pour out for our sister and her family at this difficult time.
