It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joann on May 17th. As her only daughter, I was not prepared for this loss and the accompanying funeral costs. I've created a GoFundMe to help cover expenses of her cremation, service, and celebration of life.

My mom was the life of the party, always trying to make everyone laugh. Those of you who knew her, know she has had a rough few years. Since losing her leg about 7 years ago she has battled many infections, and it was the infection that first took her to the hospital. It was there they discovered she had neuroendocrine cancer. By the time the doctors discovered the cancer it was stage 4 and between the cancer, the infection, and the sepsis her body was not strong enough to fight.

She spent the last few weeks of her life in and out of the hospital, not able to take care of herself or make any arrangements for her care or the expenses that would follow. Joann was a widow, her husband John preceded her in death 11 years ago.

Your generous donations will help us honor Joann's memory and provide comfort to her loved ones during this difficult time. The funeral has not been scheduled at this time, the family is waiting for her ashes before the schedule the service and celebration of life. As her only daughter, the responsibility is falling on me to clean out her rental house, her storage unit, and her bills she has left behind as well as the cost of her burial. Any assistance is appreciated more than you will ever know.
