Honoring James Bruce McWilliams: Support for Final Expenses

Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,

With a heavy heart, I reach out to you after the passing of my beloved father, James Bruce McWilliams, on December 12th, 2024. His journey over the past five years was marked by a courageous battle with dementia, during which he was unable to live independently.

About James Bruce McWilliams:

James was a loving father to five children (four of whom are still with us) and a cherished grandfather to three. He was not only a devoted family man but also a successful businessman, known for owning a chain of IHOP restaurants in the 1970s, and a talented engineer. Throughout his life, he demonstrated unwavering determination and kindness to those around him.

Purpose of the Fundraiser:

In recent years, all of his social security income was directed towards the facility that provided his care, leading to the foreclosure of his home. Now, my sister, Kasie McWilliams, and I, Syd McWilliams, are facing the financial burden of his burial costs and legal fees needed to resolve his estate.
