My father, Ismet Murić, was born and raised in Montenegro. He worked hard his entire life and was always there for me and my brother. He was also a grandfather to five boys, and he cared deeply about every one of them.

In the last few years, his health declined because of heart disease, high blood pressure, and trouble getting around. My brother and I have been trying to manage everything, but the funeral and related expenses in Montenegro are much higher than we expected, and we’re struggling to cover the costs on our own.

I’m a single working mother living in the United States, and I’m also helping to take care of my mom. I can’t travel back home right now, so my brother is handling everything there. Between taking care of my family here and trying to contribute to the expenses overseas, I’ve reached a point where I have to ask for help.
