I am Seth's aunt writing this on behalf of the Rains family.

We’re heartbroken to share that Seth Rains was tragically killed in an accident last night. He had attended a concert in Dallas with friends. While leaving the venue and walking back to their apartment he was struck by a car traveling at high speed. The driver fled the scene. Seth didn’t survive the impact. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

Seth, was exceptionally compassionate and loving. He was heavily involved in various church groups and organizations growing up. He was an incredible son, amazing older brother and a wonderful uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was a graduate of Mansfield Summit Class of 2020 and of Texas Tech University, class of May 2024. While attending Texas Tech he was a part of BYX fraternity where he made and nurtured many meaningful friendships. Seth was a light in all of our lives, he never left a room without leaving smiles behind him.

We are devastated. Prayers are appreciated.
