Assist with expense due to the loss of Rick Drake

My name is Jason Warner.  I'm starting this fundraiser on behalf of my cousin Chassidy Tolliver whom lost her dearest companion Rick Drake yesterday due to complications with COVID-19.  He went into the hospital about 2 weeks before Christmas. He had many ups and downs through the last month being put on ventilation and eventually dialysis. For every step forward he made, it was only a day or two then he took 3 steps back. Eventually his body just shut down and couldn't take it any longer. He coded the day before his departure. This was his way of saying he just couldn't fight anymore. At this point the decision had to be made to ease his suffering and let him go. Through this whole process Chassidy and the boys weren't able to visit because of the covid restrictions. Their  only Visit was to say there goodbyes. Being the time of year that this all happened has been extremely hard  on Chassidy. Not knowing how to handle Christmas for her boys and what to expect. Its has also been hard on the boys, that Rick was very much a father to.


Billy the youngest has slept in Ricks coat every night. Rick was a wonderful man that took Chassidy and her 2 boys under his wing and led them through some very dark times. As we all know a loss in the family is a dark time and can be very expensive. Chassidy has many challenges ahead to battle through with this loss. The home in which they live is in Rick's name, and with no will or family on Rick's side, there will undoubtedly be some court decision made. Chassidy is a hard working and loving mother of 2 doing things on her own now. She will need help and guidance now and in times to come. First and foremost I'm asking for your help to put a wonderful family man to rest. This will help Chassidy and the boys get through this trying time and possibly ease the burdens to come.
