Asking friends of my brother, Chris Santori, to help his family with funeral and other, end of life expenses.

We all agree that Chris left this world unexpectedly and far too soon. At only 52, Chris left us without plan, without a will, and without a means to pay for his mortuary expenses, his memorial services, and the legal expenses necessary to handle his belongings.

One of Chris's closest friends has already gone out-of-pocket to pay rent on his place and to keep the lights on. His cremation expenses are also on the immediate horizon. Consequently, I am raising funds to cover cremation, to reimburse his friend, to defray the legal expenses of getting his estate through probate, and to hold memorial services in both Maryland and California.

I have chosen to keep the fundraising portal open until October as all of these, end-of-life necessities will likely take several months to resolve. Dates for these twin memorial services have not been set; October 1st is merely a fund-raising goal.
