Hello, as many of you know, almost two weeks ago, my sweet pug Arlo got into some Icebreakers gum while no one was home. It has a high concentration of Xylitol, which is highly toxic to dogs. By the time I got home from work and class, Arlo was in distress and I rushed him to VEG animal hospital, where for 3 days and nights we gave him round-the-clock kidney and liver support. Unfortunately, his body was too far gone, and I had to make the hardest decision of my life to end his suffering and let him rest in peace. I am grateful for the time I had with my Arlo, he's been my greatest love and my most loyal companion for the last seven years. I am still having to accept that he is no longer with his earthly friends and family. Unfortunately, the treatment we gave him, trying to save him, put me in quite a bit of credit card debt. Learn from me, get pet insurance, especially if you have a dog. If you can help, I'd be ever so grateful. It's not easy to ask for support, but it's the position I find myself in. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to check on me and expressed their love for Arlo. He was a special boy who touched the lives of many in the way only a dogo can.
