Hi Everyone,
It is with a very heavy heart that I share the tragic news of the sudden passing of Vivaan, the 12-year-old son of our close friend, Subhash Katipelly, on November 19th. He was in 6th grade. Losing someone so young is deeply painful, and it’s hard to accept that he is no longer with us.
Vivaan was full of energy and curiosity. He learned fast, loved new challenges, and had a warm and friendly nature. He brought joy not only to his family but to everyone who knew him.
Subhash and his wife, Saketha, have always been kind, generous, and active in our Charlotte community. Today they are devastated and trying to cope with this unimaginable loss.
Their daughter, Vinshika, is only three years old. She is too young to understand what is happening, and watching her innocence in this moment makes the loss even harder to witness.
As close friends, we are helping the family with arrangements to take Vivaan to India, where they wish to perform his final rites and cremation surrounded by their extended family. This involves many formalities and significant expenses. We hope to ease that burden so the family can focus on grieving and staying together.
No one prepares for something like this. When tragedy strikes, community support is what helps families move forward.
We kindly request everyone to contribute in whatever way possible. Any amount, big or small, will make a meaningful difference during this painful time.
Please keep the family in your prayers and thoughts.
