MENTAL HEALTH INITIATIVE- CLASS OF 2024
Donation protected
Hello everyone!
Did you know that in 2021, 49.5% of youth in the U.S. experienced a mental health disorder at some point in their lives? It's a staggering statistic that highlights the pressing need for awareness and support in our communities.
Yet, despite the prevalence of these challenges, a startling 70.9% of parents do not perceive their children's mental health as a concern.
That's why we're taking action in zip code 90805. Our mission is twofold: first, to increase awareness of youth mental health needs and reduce stigma, and second, to empower parents with the tools and knowledge to support their children effectively.
We believe that open dialogue is key to breaking down barriers and fostering understanding. Through a parent support group, we aim to create a safe space and gain the confidence to discuss it openly with their children.
But we can't do this alone. We need your support to turn our vision into reality. By donating to our GoFundMe campaign, you'll be directly contributing to:
1. **Materials**: Your donations will help us create informational materials and resources to educate parents about youth mental health.
2. **Parent Engagement**: We'll use funds to organize workshops and events that facilitate meaningful discussions and empower parents to play an active role in supporting their children's mental well-being.
3. **Snacks and Refreshments**: Small comforts can make a big difference. Your contributions will ensure that attendees feel welcomed and cared for during our sessions.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of youth in zip code 90805. Let's break the silence, overcome stigma, and build a community where every child feels supported and understood.
Thank you for your generosity and support!
