We have decided to raise some funds for my son's wheelchair ramp for our van and the airbag suspension so we can carry the wheelchair. So this is the start of it. He has Gordon Holmes Syndrome. I do not know how to go about making a GoFundMe, so this is just a start to see if we can get any help with the purchase of items to help transport him to doctor visits and so on.

What is Gordon Holmes Syndrome you ask?

Gordon Holmes syndrome, also known as Gordon-Holmes syndrome or cerebellar ataxia-hypogonadism syndrome, is a rare, inherited neurological disorder characterized by a combination of neurological and reproductive issues. It typically involves cerebellar ataxia (lack of muscle coordination) and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism or cerebellar ataxia-hypogonadism syndrome, is a rare, inherited neurological disorder characterized by a combination of neurological and reproductive issues. Whats all that mean? Well, very little is known about this syndrome and there are no studies on it or control groups. It works in stages and the further the stages you get, the more the person suffers, ultimately leading to death.

There is no cure for this, there is no treatments. Only PT to help with muscle control, speech therapy to help with speech and that's about it. The rest is up to the individual on how they progress. We only know of one other person that has this and she progressed different then our son. I want to thank everyone for what they can do. Raising awareness is the most important thing out of all.
