Hello Everyone,

I am Tyler Holmes, a graduate student at USC's School of Cinematic Arts. At 10pm on February 13th, my car was broken into in Downtown Los Angeles and my MacBook Pro (which I used for film editing and my business as a photographer), my iPad Pro (which I used for class), a motorized skateboard (for traveling through campus), class materials, and my hard drives were all stolen. In addition, I have to repair my broken car window.

My car was parked in a decent parking lot with other cars around. I have tinted windows, and I made sure to cover my items before heading to dinner, but despite those precautions, this happened.

I am hoping that you will empathize with this situation and support in any capacity in which you are able. This is my last semester of grad school, and as I am in pre-production for multiple projects, it is extremely devastating to not only be without necessary technology, but also experience a significant financial burden by trying to pay for all of this. Also, with my current schedule until May, I am unable to take a second job to cover these costs.
