My son, Travis, age 52, had been very ill for six months. He had lupus since 2008. Travis's difficult journey started in May when he got sepsis from a gallbladder infection. He had his gallbladder removed in July. He contracted listeria in September.

Listeria caused a brain abscess. The listeria grew after a month of IV antibiotics. The brain abscess caused the loss of mobility in his left arm and leg. An aneurysm in his aorta artery grew significantly and was bleeding. He passed away on November 21, 2025.

He has numerous medical bills.
