anything helps…
My name is Victoria but my friends call me Tori. I’m 21 years old and last month I was facing homelessness and seemed to have everything falling into place until last week.
Saturday night (July 19th) was a stormy night. I had work the next day and was In bed by 10 pm. Woke up and got ready for work the morning of the 20th. I started down the stairs around 8 and noticed my car was pivoted in the parking spot (I thought “wow, someone stole it and brought it back, how kind”).. I walked around to the front of my car and to my absolute horror, my car was completely wrecked and damaged. I contacted police, filed a report, called my insurance etc etc.
It was later that day when I decided to go out to my car to get some documents out when I noticed my car was the missing.. I called the police again, they checked their database and told me that my car had been towed for “improper parking..” I have been doing everything I can to get surveillance footage of that night, as well as my insurance adjuster to work with me to get this figured out. My insurance only covers 5 days of storage at a tow yard, and I’m unable to get any other type of help. I can’t even get a rental car for a good rate because I’m only 21. My insurance adjuster is also gone for the weekend and I’m unable to ask her to pay the tow yard the 900 they are asking for so that way I can take it to a collision repair and pay my $1,000 deductible on top of other fees my complex is now charging me.
anything and everything helps, even sharing. I appreciate every bit of effort that goes into this, as it is my last resort.
