Tom and Patty were my neighbors for years, knowing them both for 8 years up until the passing of our beloved Patty this year.
Tom, Patty’s husband and sole caregiver were both on a fixed income and Patty had been disabled due to a stroke and was also legally blind. As inflation rose, they decided both to return to Nicaragua where they had lived for 12 years happily, and could have a quality of life and home health care for Patty that was much more economic than the US with their fixed income. So Tom arranged a place for them to live out their lives that was well within their means in Nicaragua.
Unfortunately this year, Patty’s health declined quickly and she passed away. The US social security administration cut off Patty’s pension and the bills left from her hospital stays and treatment still remain with a sustainably lower income.
Tom is struggling and needs help with clearing up Patty’s hospital and medical bills as well as moving costs to have a more sustainable life and to be able to place Patty in her final resting place that she chose; the Pacific Ocean, Playa Marsella in Southern Nicaragua.
Please help Tom accomplish what he needs to continue his life's journey :
- close-out of obligations owed
- travel expenses that will allow him to not only fullfill Patty's last wishes, but live in dignity
- costs of starting over
