Assist the Youngs After Flood Tragedy

My family is reaching out to you with heavy hearts. In the recent devastating floods that swept through Boston , Kentucky on April 6th. My parents, Larry and Jessica Young have suffered unimaginable losses. The home they’ve lived in for exactly one month ,was tragically inundated with floodwaters, leaving behind a trail of destruction.

The floodwaters reached their beloved cabin, a place of peace. Sadly, it too has been severely damaged and is likely a total loss.

Adding to this heartbreaking situation, the floodwaters also claimed their RV, which Larrys dad, my grandfather who lives with them and all three of their vehicles. This loss of transportation has created a significant hardship, impacting their ability to get to work, go to doctors appointments, go to even the store down the street.

Perhaps most heartbreaking of all is the loss of their dear pig, Pippo. She was a cherished member of our family, bringing joy and laughter to their lives every day. The thought of her losing her life due to the flood is truly devastating.

The road ahead for my parents is Uncertain. They are facing the overwhelming task of cleaning out their flooded home, assessing the extensive damage, and trying to salvage what little they can. They have lost so much – not just material possessions, but also a sense of security and normalcy.

I am are starting this GoFundMe campaign to help begin to rebuild what they have lost. The funds raised will go directly towards immediate needs such as shelter, food , clothes , essential items they will need.

Also, cost associated with removing debris , potential mold and structural damage. Even things such as helping with replacing things as their beds, kitchen items. Even transportation , for reliable ways to get back and forth to places they need to go.

Our parents are strong and resilient, but the magnitude of this disaster is immense. They have always been the first to lend a helping hand to others in need, and now they are the ones who need support.
