Remembering David Talton Sr. — A Loving Husband and Father

On August 6, 2025, our dad, David Talton Sr., passed away unexpectedly. If you knew him, you know he liked to keep up the act of being a grumpy old man—and yes, sometimes he truly was! But beneath that gruff exterior was a man full of love, loyalty, and quiet strength. He was a devoted husband, a caring father, and the kind of person who showed up when it mattered most.

In the blink of an eye, we lost our dad—and our mom lost her soulmate. Their love was deep and enduring, and this loss has shaken our family to its core.

As you can imagine, this is not something we were prepared for. We’re humbly asking that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to help cover the cost of cremation and immediate expenses. David was the primary provider in their home, and your support will go directly to our mom to help her through this difficult transition while we work to sort out her SSI and other financial matters.

There will be no formal services, but we plan to hold a Celebration of Life at a future date to honor David’s memory and the impact he had on all of us. We’ll share details once they’re finalized, and we hope you’ll join us in remembering the man who meant so much to so many.
