Help the Spruille family send “Big Jim” home to rest in Port Gibson, MS.

On Tuesday morning, July 9th, Jimmy Spruille unfortunately passed away in his sleep. Although peacefully, it came as a shock to his entire family. A husband, father, and veteran, Big Jim was a pillar of strength for the Spruille family. He leaves behind his wife, Pat, and his 3 children: Jerome, Trina, and Jimmy Jr.

For those who know the Spruille’s, each and every one of them would give the shirt off their backs and the money out of their pockets to help anyone in a time of need. Pat & Jimmy have allowed many of her children’s friends into her home, and many of those friends refer to the Spruille’s as second parents. No matter the time, place, or situation, they would welcome anybody with open arms and look out for them. If their couch was open, it was yours. If there was food on the table, it was yours. The entire family are some of the most thoughtful, helpful, and kind people you will ever meet, and Big Jim was the soul of the family. If you knew him, you knew how passionate he was about his Dallas Cowboy football. You knew how handy he was and was always willing to help others. He raised his kids the same way, and each and every one of them would do anything for their loved ones, or even a stranger.

Now, it is our turn to help this wonderful family. We would love to lay Jimmy to rest in his hometown of Port Gibson, MS. With transportation expenses, funeral expenses, and everything that comes with it, the Spruille family would appreciate any and all help it can get. Help us lay “Big Jim” peacefully to rest.
