Support for Steven and the Rivas Family During a Critical Time

My dad, Steven, has recently entered the final chapter of his life, and we are reaching out for help during this time of need.

Steven, in his late 40s, lived in Poth, Texas and was the proud father of his only daughter, Angel, 27. For most of his life, he faced significant physical challenges, relying on a wheelchair while navigating ongoing health and personal struggles. Throughout it all, he found joy in the small things, especially the companionship of his beloved dog and in the moments he could share with his family and loved ones.

Since the start of the year, Steven has been in and out of the hospital and is now in a critical condition. Following a cardiac arrest, he spent last week breathing with the assistance of a ventilator. After much discussion with family and doctors, he was removed from the ventilator on August 8th. He passed away on August 9th.

As a result, Steven’s family is now faced with the memorial expenses. In particular, we are seeking help to fund funeral costs, including a casket and a plot near the family. This is in addition to the travel expenses and unpaid time off work that his family, especially his daughter, have had to bear in order to be by his side during these most difficult days.

Our goal is to help ease this financial burden so we can focus on supporting Steven at the end of his life by surrounding him with his family and loved ones. This was always his final wish.
