Honoring the Life of Jose Ongay — Support for Funeral and Family Expenses

With broken hearts, we share the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved father, Jose Ongay on 4/25/2025. As our family faces this heartbreaking loss, we are seeking support to help cover the costs of his funeral arrangements and to assist our family during this difficult time.

Our father was a dedicated and loving man — a proud disabled veteran who honorably served in the military for over 20 years, including in the Gulf War. He was a constant and encouraging presence in our lives, always showing up for every game, performance, and milestone. His optimism was contagious, and his love for New York sports was unwavering.

He leaves behind four children and five grandchildren who will forever cherish his strength, humor, and unconditional love.

This loss has left us not only emotionally devastated but also unprepared for the financial responsibilities that come with funeral and memorial services. Any contribution will go directly toward honoring our father’s memory and supporting our family in the days ahead.
