My name is Anne-Maree Cameron and I have created this page on behalf of Gareth and Rebecca Jameson.
Gareth is my son in law and lives in Epping Victoria with his wife, Rebeca, and their three children, Ashley (15), Phoenix (14) and Xavian (8).
In October of 2017 at the age of 41, Gareth was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer – Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma. Test results showed that this cancer had already spread to his lymph nodes and liver. Chemotherapy commenced in December, shortly followed by an intensive regime of radiotherapy in March 2018. Both these treatments together eliminated the tumours in the nasal cavity and lymph nodes, however it continues to be extremely aggressive in the liver.
During the past twelve months, Gareth managed treatments whilst continuing to work.
In October 2018, Gareth was accepted into an Immunotherapy clinical trial. In participating in this trial, it is hoped that it may benefit both Gareth and others in the future suffering from similar cancers.
Until this point, Gareth and Rebecca have had no financial assistance from family and friends, but due to changing circumstances – specifically Gareth stepping away from the workforce - I feel that now is the time to step in and assist in any way we can.
Gareth is a Son, Brother, Uncle, Husband, Father and Friend. He would never hesitate to help someone in need. As this is an extremely difficult time for the Jameson’s, we as their family and friends face this journey together. By raising funds for the family, I hope that it will ease some of the stress and financial pressure they will be facing.
Thank you for taking the time to read Gareth’s story. Any support would be truly appreciated.
