Assist Temple with Lawsuit for Injuries

Brahma Madhya Goudiya Vaishnav Society Inc (BMGVSI) is a Hindu temple based on the teachings of Vedic Sanatan Dharma. This temple was founded by Shri Srivash Das in August of 2005. Shri Srivash Das was born in the India, in 1967. He devoted his life at the age of 12 to preach, practice, and serve the teachings of the Vedic Sanatan Dharma. He lives a life as a Brahmachari. The temple is located at 1616 Desoto Road, Baltimore, MD.

The temple houses Radha Govind, Shri Jaganath Baldev, and Mata Subhadra of Puri Dham along with a second temple of Pasupati Nath of Nepal and hence named as Radha Govind Pasupati Nath Temple. Our devotees are spread all over the US, India, Nepal, and all over the world.

On Jan 14th, 2024, we were celebrating Makar Sakranti/Lohri. We were having a havan with around 25-30 people. One of our priests at that moment made a very big mistake by adding lighter fluid to the already lit havan, which caused a big ball of fire above the havan, badly hurting and causing major burns to about 8-10 people, including kids. Due to the extent of the burns and injuries, those people have decided to sue the temple and our founder, Shri Srivash Das. Unfortunately, being a non-profit organization, neither the temple nor the founder has the capacity to pay for the money in the lawsuit. Shri Srivash Das ji cares about the devotees and the people that got hurt that night and would like to help with the best treatment for them, and that is why we have created this GoFundMe for that purpose. The temple will provide a certificate of donation for tax deduction purposes.
