Hi everyone, my name is Tanisha. I’m 27yrs old and I’m currently a Radiology Student at Cambridge College for Healthcare and Technology. Other than a student I’m a mom to a beautiful 2yr old girl, an alumni from the University of Bridgeport (B.S Health Sciences & Master’s in Public Health), and I’m an ongoing patient with the debilitating disease of Multiple Sclerosis. Despite my illness I strive to be the best version of myself not only for me but for my daughter. I was recently laid off from my job in March due to budget cuts; and at this time I find myself having a hard time staying a float financially. A month ago (July 5, 2025) I was informed that I had exhausted my unemployment funds and won’t be eligible to receive anymore funds until March of 2026, God willing I won’t be unemployed for that long.
