Hi, I'm Sofie. I'm getting surgery in October and have been struggling to save any amount of money for when I am out of work recovering. I spent June 2024-January 2025 living with an abusive partner who quit her job and left me to pay both of our bills that entire period, while she sat around playing Fortnite. I work in healthcare and do not make a lot of money and was unable to save in any capacity.

I recently have had to go to the ER twice unexpectedly, so medical bills haven't made saving or getting supplies any easier as well.

My biggest concern is rent/utilities; however, I could use some other supplies for post-surgery. My bedroom isn't on the same floor as the kitchen, so a microwave or air fryer for my bedroom would be super helpful (I already have a small fridge to store food). For full transparency, my rent is $1070 + utilities ($150-$200).
