Hello my name is Troy Kurtz a lot of you know me or my family already. As a lot seen yesterday my sister Toby Kurtz passed away very unexpectedly. Toby was born February 22nd 1978 while we lived in Texas! She was a long time worker at Walmart in Elyria for 20 years! Recently she worked at Abbewood. My family is so appreciative of everyone that has reached out so far, we have had a lot of people reach out with their condolences and ask if they could do anything let them know. So here we are asking for your generosity. What people probably don’t know is Toby did not have any Life Insurance and Toby has taken care of our Mother Sheryl Searcy more then anyone can even think of. Toby has lived with our Mother her whole life and after Leathy passed away 3 years ago, Toby has stepped up and was the one that paid the bills. She also stepped up and was a 2nd mother to Leathys daughter Kiera. Toby, Kiera and our Mother lived in Colonial Oaks. Kiera is home schooled and Toby has helped her with her school and home work. So as you can see this is a huge loss for my Mother not only that she lost her daughter and her 2nd daughter in the last 3 years, but now she will need to figure out the financial part of life after the grieving is done and when life moves on. My mother does have full custody of Kiera which she is 9 years old. So as you can see it’s gonna be very stressful for our Mother to figure out how does she continue with having lost 2 out of her 4 kids and then the burden of how will she make it financially.

So we as a family the Kurtz family and the Gerhart family have decided to make this GO Fund page to help our Mother Sheryl raise some money to help pay the funeral home and also anything left over would go to our mother Sheryl to help with Kiera and help stay a float until she can figure out her next steps after she is done grieving.
