Assist Shawn and Baby Girl in Their Time of Need

Donation protected
On September 26th at 6:26 AM, Sarah and Shawn welcomed their beautiful daughter, Sadie Alexis Rickrode, into this world. She weighed 7 lbs 8 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long.

A few hours later, Sarah started experiencing low O2 levels and chest pain. They took her for tests and found a massive aneurysm in her aortic valve that was life-threatening. She chose to fight and had surgery after surgery in Cooperstown. After a few days, she was finally stable enough to be moved to Rochester for better treatment. When they first got to Rochester, Shawn had genetic testing done for Sarah to see what the cause of all this could have been, and there was. She has a possible mutation for Marfan Syndrome; a Google search will explain what was previously mentioned. It is not a finalized answer yet.

On October 14th at 7:18 PM, on the day of their wedding anniversary, Sarah passed away peacefully, surrounded by her closest friends and family. She would have been happy to see that it was a cold, rainy day, just like their wedding, and that they got to spend it together. We're happy that she is no longer in pain and that she will always be with us spiritually.

All funds donated will go towards any afterlife care and help Shawn care for his newborn.
