Assist Sandi in Her Time of Need

Donation protected
On Monday, December 30th Sandi slipped and fell outside her back door. After x-rays, it was determined she broke the tibia on her left leg, had surgery on the 31st and ended up having two plates, nine pins and her leg encased in a steel brace from her ankle up to her thigh.

She was required for her to go to Transitional Care for 3 weeks and she needed 24/7 care and PT everyday and continued strength conditioning on her right leg for stability and help mitigate any falling or harm to her left while she recovers. She is not allowed to place any weight on her left leg for another 4 weeks.

She was denied short-term disability through her employer due to the classification of her employment. She was then denied extended stay at Transitional Care from Medicare. The appeal was also denied and has had to transition back to her house. She has had much help from family and friends where she wanted to be vs staying with family, which is understandable.

Sandi has in-home PT care 2-3 days a week, but will not be able to drive until mid-February at the earliest. She has used up her PTO during this past month and finances are accumulating. If you are willing and able to help contribute to some of the expenses she faces, it is greatly appreciated.

Sandi does not like being in the spotlight or asking for assistance as she is brutally independent, but she is also aware that right now she needs to lean in on those around her for help. We all know Sandi would be the first person to lend a hand if needed, so hoping to have those willing and able consider a donation.
