Assist Robin & Mike during her battle for recovery.
Donation protected
My sister, Robin Bergan, has been working, trying to support her husband, Mike, and herself as he has had surgeries and ran into many physical problems along the way, making him unable to work and financially contribute any longer. Robin works full-time to support their household. Within the last 3 months, she developed severe pain in her foot and leg, and doctors found she was not getting enough blood flow to her foot, leaving her with the only option of getting surgery to place stents to get the blood flowing again.
After a necessary short recovery, she immediately went back to work. The pain in her leg did not subside and unfortunately got worse. Almost 2 months post-surgery, still trying to work while enduring continued pain that worsened, she was in unbearable pain and unable to ignore it. She reached out to her surgeon, and he suggested she go to the emergency room for further evaluation. There, they realized the stints had failed and collapsed. They promptly admitted her into the hospital and ultimately kept her until they could do bypass surgery on her leg, which was 3 days into her stay.
Surgery was on Nov 7th. She has been working on recovery, but the pain levels haven't changed. Focusing on recovery should be her main focus as of right now, but the heavy burden of not knowing if she will ever be able to return to work is taking away from Robin's main focus.
I know times are hard for many right now, but your support would alleviate the stresses that are ahead of Mike and Robin. Thank you for taking the time to read this and any help you send their way.
