My name is Tami. I have been friends with Rebecca since we met in the military in 2011. Her family has experienced a tragedy that no one was prepared for. I am reaching out to ask the community to help Rebecca and her family cover the expenses related to the death of her father.

Toby Myers was a retired Navy Veteran of 24 years. After retirement from the service, he moved to Michigan with his family and began working in fabrications and other facilities. He recently retired at the beginning of August this year. Two short weeks into retirement, he was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer that had spread to various parts of his body. He was only able to receive four rounds of chemo before his body forced him to stop. After his last treatment on November 3rd, his body couldn’t handle any more. He took his last breath with his daughter and grandkids at his side on November 18th. He went from holding their hands to God's hands.

Toby sailed with many, mentored plenty, and shared a lot of great memories with those around him.

Rebecca buried her mother three years ago and is now having to bury her father. This comes with a large financial load that no one was prepared to take on.
