Assist Raelyn's Journey After Loss
Donation protected
My name is Lydia. My friend Raelyn Arnold suffered the loss of her father, Raymond, in June and then the loss of her mother, Carolyn, in November. If you know Raelyn, you know that she is a sweet lady who is always willing to offer a helping hand however she is able, even in the face of her physical disabilities. Over the next few months, she faces the daunting task of settling both of her parents' estates, sorting through their personal effects, and setting up her own living arrangements.
While often restricted to using a walker, Raelyn keeps her hands and mind active with knitting and crochet. I met Raelyn at a knitting/crochet group several years ago and have several items Raelyn has generously made for me. She is quick to offer assistance to dyers looking for sample projects and only asks for a little yarn in return! Raelyn spent the last 2 years looking after her mother, who was unable to stand or walk, while her father was staying in a memory care facility. Although this took a toll on Raelyn's health, she kept tabs on her father's care and continued to assist her mother in every way possible until her mother's dying breath.
Please take a few moments this holiday season to reach out to your family and anyone in your circle who is missing someone during the holidays!
