Our dear friend and wildly talented colleague and artist, Peter Tupitza, is currently in the hospital with a traumatic brain injury. Peter retired on disability in June due to mobility issues. He is scheduled to move from his apartment in Philadelphia and committed by contract to buy a new permanent residence in Delaware near his family by the end of February. Unfortunately, he became completely nonverbal and incapacitated from the brain bleed that he experienced, but this does not release him from this commitment. He's working hard to regain his speech and memory. Doctors performed an emergency craniectomy on him, and he will eventually need to have a cranioplasty operation if he continues to improve. We are asking for financial help to hire a moving company to make this transition possible since he must be out of the apartment before March 1st. We have selected Moverama, owned by wonderful people who have worked closely with our community as scenics and will carefully pack Peter’s artwork and treasures. The new location will also require repairs to make it livable, especially for someone in his situation. While the future is uncertain, any donation will help us as we work towards progress. Please show your support. Best wishes.
