In 2024, my mother Peggy lost her husband of 40 years. My stepfather, Jerry, was truly her partner. They worked together, enjoyed life together, and all the things in between. In his last days of life, he was chronically ill. Unable to work, my mother began to live off of just her income and their savings to try and support their home and medical bills. After his death, she began to struggle with bills and maintaining their home. This January, she lost her job. While she is trying to find somewhere else, her age (74) and health are proving to be a hinder to her. She recently began to work somewhere else but was let go in her ninety-day trial period because they felt she was "unable" to perform to their standards. Now, she is on the brink of complete financial deprivation. She can no longer afford her monthly bills, her savings depleted and no income coming in. Her only familiar connection in California was Jerry, and I being her only daughter reside in Tennessee. Her sister has invited her to move in in Florida, but now we have reached the dilemma of relocation. My children and I have all committed to helping her in the move in what we can spare financially, but unfortunately even with our contributions we cannot cover the lapsed bills, the entirety of the move and the money that allows her to get on her feet once she gets to Florida. I know that in this economy, times are hard for everyone. As an only child, I am simply trying to get my mom to a place where she can be near family and out of a nightmare that has resulted in the changes in her life she has endured this year and a half. Anything, truly anything that can help me help her would be greatly and deeply appreciated. If you have stayed to hear my mom's story, even if you can't donate, please share this and allow it to reach anyone that may be willing to help. Thank you so much in advance, and God bless.

Michele & family.
