On April 4, my brother was tragically shot in downtown Memphis, Tennessee. The bullet struck his neck, leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. He’s currently in the hospital, fighting to recover from this life-altering injury.

Every day, our mother has been by his side, making sure he gets the best care available. She is unable to work daily as a result, however, and the cost of living is getting to be too much. We're dealing with issues we never expected, including daily spending, medical bills, and long-term care costs.
