My sweet cousin Nicole was unexpectedly taken from us last week on June 25. Our days are now dimmer without her rays of sunshine.

If you were fortunate enough to know Coley, you’ll know how absolutely truly amazing she was. Her compassion led her to reach her goal of becoming a nurse. Her strength helped her overcome many obstacles. Her humor created so many friendships. And her loving heart is what made her beautiful inside and out.

In her short 28 years, Nicole was the perfect example of “living life to the fullest”. Although she had her share of hardships, from being diagnosed with diabetes as a child to the unimaginable loss of her baby boy, she always persevered. Nicole was fulfilling her dreams and was a traveling nurse (to which I joked with her about working her way up on Grandma’s favorites list!). She was currently on a nursing assignment in Arizona. Coley was always quick to flaunt her contagious smile and give a warm hug. So many are left missing her.

Our hearts are heavy as we wait to bring Nicole home and give this beautiful soul the proper farewell she deserves. As her family tries to process this heartbreaking loss, the least of their worries should be financial burden. All donations will go to Nicole’s immediate family to assist with bringing her home and funeral expenses.
