I am Britany Lemon and have been best friends with Nicole and her family for 10 years. I have watched Nicole give to her family and the community. She is a 4th-grade teacher at Rose Hill and loves to take part in her community.

Nicole went in for a biopsy on a lump on Jan 21st. The biopsy came back as cancer. Through MRIs, the doctors were able to tell that the cancer was not attached to any muscle tissue and has not spread anywhere else. Nicole is scheduled to have a lumpectomy and a couple of lymph nodes in the armpit removed in March. However, the doctors want her to pay almost $3,000 before she can have the surgery. I don’t know a lot of people that have $3,000 handy to give over and this surgery is necessary to prevent the cancer from spreading. On top of that, she is looking at missing 2-4 weeks of work and 4-6 rounds of radiation.

I want to help her get as much of that surgery cost so that she can have the surgery before it spreads and things get worse. She doesn’t like asking for help, but she’s stuck and really needs this. Any little bit helps!!
