Long time French Market vendor, Zahdan Sterling, recently had a stroke leaving him unable to pursue his livelihood making tyedye and jewelry which he sold in the historic New Orleans French Market and Jazz Fest. For 30 years, Zahdan's art and craft work has been sought out by people from around the world. An avid storyteller, he imparts so much knowledge to both his customers and onlookers while cheerfully discussing the history of his tyedye craft, as well as the important history of trade beads and other African artifacts. All donations will be used to cover any incurred expenses while undergoing rehabilitation which will be for an extended period of time. Please consider donating to help. All of which would be greatly appreciated.
