Assist Mr. Kong's Healing Journey with Mr. Mark

I wanted to share Mr. Kong's journey with you. Mr. Kong traveled with me for over 4,000 miles from Thomas Helmbercht at Land Race Farm LGD Dog Rescue in Covelo, CA to his new home in Macon, Georgia with his new Dad, Mr. Mark.

Mr. Kong was found as a stray in South LA and was picked up by animal control at the South Los Angeles Animal Shelter. Despite being labeled as 3 years old, he was actually closer to 8 to 10 years old. While at the shelter, he was mishandled, sustaining injuries to his esophagus, due to the use of a catchpole. Sadly, none of these issues were initially detected by the Shelter System or the vets who examined him.

After arriving in Macon, Mr. Kong started experiencing eating and breathing difficulties. Mr. Mark took him to the vet and they discovered he had a damaged esophagus and severe arthritis due to his age. Mr. Mark absolutely loves Mr. Kong, their bond is amazing right from the start. We are seeking assistance with the unexpected vet bills.

Thankfully, Mr. Kong is recovering well after 4 days at the veterinarian hospital receiving IVs and treatment and is settling into his at-home with Mr. Mark.
